Obzor is equidistant between Burgas and Varna, with the road to Byala only 6 kilometers south.
Obzor is a settlement that is among the oldest on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. In ancient times, the settlement was called Navlochos, and in later times it was called Heliopolis, which translates as city of the sun. When Rome was a vassal on these lands, a temple of the Roman god Jupiter and a fortress were built here, which in the Middle Ages came into the possession of the boyar Karvun and became known among the Bulgarians under the name of Koziak. Today, in the park of the now modern city, the exposed remains of columns, statues and supports left from the temple of Jupiter can be seen.
Obzor is a seaside resort that has about 7 kilometers of beach. Visitors and vacationers in Obzor will find numerous hotels in Obzor, but you will also find lodgings operating on a hotel basis. Dining in the city is also extremely well catered for with waterfront restaurants and fast food outlets.
